General Manager

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am General Manager here at Station Court. Welcome to our website!

Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.

Prior to starting in this position I was a general manager and peripatetic manager supporting care services in south Tyneside and Nottinghamshire, and have worked in care for over 20 years.  I have worked and managed a range of services from learning disabilities, mental health, residential, nursing and dementia and challenging behaviour services

I look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Hi, my name is Andrea and I am the Deputy Manager at Station Court.

I began my career in care in 2005 as a care assistant, working my way up gaining knowledge and qualifications to become a senior carer and later a unit manager. I began my career with Barchester in 2020 as a care practitioner before taking this recent promotion as Deputy Manager at Station Court, I am looking forward to the new challenge and opportunities within this new role.

What I love most about my job is making a difference and providing a high standard of care to those I care for.

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Carly and I am the homes Activities Coordinator.  I joined the home in 2011.  I am passionate about our enhancing our residents daily life and delivering a person centred life enrichment activity programme is very important to me to ensure that our residents continue to lead fulfilling lives doing things that they want to and enjoy. Our programme is varied from excursions out on the mini bus ensuring our residents are connected to their local community, hosting events here in the home, virtual events and themed days – no day is the same!

Head of Maintenance

Hello my name is Phil Archer and I am the head of Maintenance at Station Court.

I began my career in factory work before receiving my NVQ level 3 in management and finding my passion in maintenance work, I have many years’ experience of maintenance in care homes and look forward to my new venture at Station Court with a great team alongside me.

I am responsible for maintaining the home and ensuring it is a safe place to live and to ensure we are providing our residents with the best premium experience. I love all aspects of my role but decorating is a passion of mine.

Resident Ambassador

Hello, my name is Olive and I am the resident ambassador at Station Court, I have lived here since 2021.  I am the life and soul of any party and love the social activities at our home, especially the live entertainers that come in. I am an active member of the baking club and knit and natter group and love nothing better than putting the world to rights!

I love my role as resident ambassador assisting the activities team organising and planning events, I have formed many friendships within our home and enjoy helping new residents find their feet and being a voice for others in our monthly residents meetings and I take great pride in contributing to make Station Court a brilliant place to live.

Hi, my name is Cristal, and I am a night shift senior carer at Station Court Care home and began my career with Barchester in June 2024. 

I have 11 years' prior experience in healthcare roles and hold my NVQ level 3 in health and social care. 
I am passionate about ensuring the residents I care for receive the highest standards of care, and my favourite part of my role is truly making a difference to the lives of those I care for and helping them to start their day in a positive way.

Hello my name is Judith and I am a night shift senior carer at Station Court care home.
I have been working at Station Court since August 2019 beginning my career with Barchester as a care assistant and in 2024 I was promoted to a senior role. I have a vast experience working in healthcare for over 28 years.

I am currently working towards gaining my NVQ level 3 and I have recently enrolled in my leadership qualification with Barchester Healthcare. 

The most important thing to me in my role is making a positive difference to the people I care for and I am passionate about providing the best person centred care and ensuring my team do the same.

Hello, my name is Natasha and I am a senior carer at Station Court care home and began my career with Barchester in January 2025. 

I have worked in healthcare settings for 18 years. I was a care assistant for 15 years and gained my qualifications and have worked as a senior carer for 3 years. I am currently working towards my NVQ level 4 in management.

The most important thing to me is my family, I have 4 children. 
I love helping people and get a sense of satisfaction from seeing how my care makes a difference to our residents lives.

Hello my name is Liam McCrostie, I am a senior carer and have worked at Station Court since 2011.  I began my career as a care assistant and worked my way up to a senior role gaining qualifications through Barchester

The most important thing to me about my job is truly making a difference to the lives of the people I care for and support. I am a dementia champion and I am passionate about providing a fulfilling life for residents living with dementia in our memory lane community and supporting family members.

Hi, my name is Kerry, and I am the home administrator here at Station Court. I have recently joined the team in February 2025. 

I have 19 years' previous experience in senior management, administration and head office roles. My job is to ensure our homes run smoothly, from invoicing to recruitment and assisting family members, visitors and residents however I can. 

I love meeting people from all walks of life and no two days are ever the same! I look forward to welcoming you into our home in the near future.

Hi, my name is Dave and I am the Head Chef at Station Court Care Home. I have worked in the hospitality sector for 30 years, completing my qualifications to be a chef in 1994 I have a wealth of experience as a head chef in both restaurants and care homes and look forward to being part of the team at Station Court.

I am passionate about food especially creating show stopping cakes and taking pride in producing the very best for our residents. Myself and my team cater for residents individual dietary needs and ensure that our home cooked menus with freshly prepared seasonal produce offer choice, nutrition and quality.

Hello my name is Wendy and I am head housekeeper at Station Court care home. 

I enjoy all aspects of meeting new people and have previously worked in retail working as a section leader and duty manager at department stores before joining the team at Station Court in February 2023 as a housekeeping assistant and have recently accepted a promotion as head housekeeper. 

I am looking forward to working in my new role ensuring our residents have a safe, comfortable and clean environment to live in. The most important thing to me is the residents' wellbeing at Station Court.

I am an 18-month-old Shar Pei and have been bringing joy, comfort and companionship to residents and staff members alike at Station Court since 2024. My favourite part of my role is the cuddles and treats I receive every ‘shift’.
