Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Zoe Grindley

Activities Coordinator

Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.

I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.

Zoe has a passion for making strong connections with people and creating lasting memorable experiences.

My role here at Southgate Beaumont is to ensure our residents lives are packed full of enriching and interesting activity. We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs

I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

Life at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

,

Burns Night

Southgate Beaumont residents had a lovely afternoon with the reading of a modern version of the Address to a Haggis, followed by freshly made food by our Head Chef, which included haggis, tatties and cranachan.

Staff Receive Vaccination

Staff at Southgate Beaumont were delighted to be invited to have the COVID-19 vaccination at The Royal Free Hospital, which has lifted everyone’s spirits after what has been a very challenging year for everyone.

We’ve had a year like no other and the vaccine feels like the light at the end of the tunnel. Our teams have been magnificent in how they have risen to every challenge during this pandemic and we are proud to play our part in this next phase to ensure the most vulnerable are protected.

Christmas Cheer

Southgate staff and residents have enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree.

Christmas Crafts

Southgate residents made their own Christmas cards, which were posted to their loved ones.

Letters of Kindness

We received a lot of letters of kindness from the pupils of Walkers Primary School. Residents were so happy to read them!
