Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Zoe Grindley
Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.
I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.
Zoe has a passion for making strong connections with people and creating lasting memorable experiences.
My role here at Southgate Beaumont is to ensure our residents lives are packed full of enriching and interesting activity. We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs
I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

Movment to Music
Adding a little twist to our keep fit classes this week with the return of our Music therapist.

Queen's Birthday
On Saturday June 13th, the Queen celebrated her second, and official birthday. But there was an extra incentive to join in the festivities at Southgate Beaumont care home in Southgate, as residents were asked to design a birthday cake in honour of Her Majesty’s birthday.
The winning cake design was then whipped into reality by the homes’ chef, Duson, and was enjoyed by residents and staff on the Queen’s special day.
Residents were also treated to an afternoon tea with a royal theme, prepared by the hospitality team. The Queen’s birthday was marked with a small celebration at Windsor Castle, where the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh are staying in isolation.
Beatrice Godfrey, General Manager said: “Residents absolutely loved the idea of having their cake brought to life, and were very happy to celebrate our longest reigning monarch. Here at Southgate Beaumont we are continually adapting, and finding new ways to make sure every effort is focused on creating an enjoyable environment for all of our residents, whilst adhering to social distancing advice.”
Carers Week
Southgate Beaumont care home in Southgate held a day of celebrations to thank care staff at the home, who make a real difference to the lives of those in their care.
Staff were treated to an afternoon tea and a delicious cake prepared by the Head Chef and his team. The General Manager, Beatrice Godfrey handed out cards of appreciation from the residents and letters of thanks from the Barchester CEO and the Managing Director for the Southern Region. Staff also gave a call to family members who have been unable to visit due to lock down, but who also give so much support to their loved ones and carers in the home.
Beatrice Godfrey General Manager said: “I am very proud of the carers at Southgate Beaumont. In light of the current situation our carers have continued to work tirelessly to provide high quality, personalised care to the people living in our homes, and often go above and beyond the call of duty, which has a huge impact on people’s lives. They offer friendship and comfort to residents and their relatives, during what can be a very emotional time. We appreciate the work they do all year round, and especially in these unprecedented times”.
A week at Southgate Beaumont
We always have so much going on at Southgate Beaumont, This week residents decided to make a reunited banner to welcome our loved ones back for visiting, They also held a baking class and made delicious cupcakes .Lastly we held an afternoon tea and enjoyed all of our hard work
Fathers Day
Happy Fathers Day to all our wonderful Fathers living at Southgate.
Staff and Family made handmade cards and delivered them around the home.
