Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Zoe Grindley

Activities Coordinator

Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.

I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.

Zoe has a passion for making strong connections with people and creating lasting memorable experiences.

My role here at Southgate Beaumont is to ensure our residents lives are packed full of enriching and interesting activity. We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs

I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

National Beer Day

You better beer-lieve that residents at Southgate Beaumont were more than hoppy to raise a glass and sample some top ales in celebration of National Beer Day.

Beer lovers at the home celebrated and spread beery joy by joining the national toast at 7pm on June 15th, along with millions of people across the country to say ‘Cheers to Beer’!

The hospitality team at Southgate Beaumont brought in a range of brew-tiful British ales for residents to sample, and they enjoyed a beer tasting. They learned about the history of beer and music was played in the garden while other residents video called family & friends via Skype to share a drink.

National Senior Fitness Day

Southgate Beaumont celebrated National Senior Fitness day with a very special exercises lead by our Physiotherapist, Jignesh, in our beautiful garden, followed by refreshments.

Nurses' Day - Southgate

Southgate is hosted a party to celebrate International Nurses’ Day and support our nurses and care staff who make a real difference to the lives of those in their care.

Nurses’ Day is a chance to recognise and reward the important work and dedication of nurses everywhere, who often go above and beyond the call of duty..
