Activities at Snowdrop Place Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Gemma Moss

Activities Coordinator

Having started my journey as a carer, I am now thrilled to be supporting the activities for our wonderful residents here at Snowdrop Place. I love working with them to ensure we provide a full person-centred planner of amazing and engaging things for everyone to enjoy and be a part of

Supporting the Community

Highwood's, the company responsible for building Snowdrop Place, took time out of their busy schedule to help give local Pavilion Pirates Pre-school a new playground.

With funding from Barchester and a local charity run by the Co-op, they were able to make this lovely transformation possible.

Strawberries for Strawberry Fields

As we are naming our main café at Snowdrop Place ‘Strawberry Fields’, we reached out to the children in the local community and asked them to create strawberries that we can put up in the café. We have been overwhelmed by the response and received some fantastic strawberries.

Plant Britain

At Snowdrop Place, we have taken part in 'Plant Britain', run by BBC Countryfile. When building a new care home, it is important to encourage nature and ensure we are still supporting the environment. Snowdrop Place will have, in total, an amazing 753 trees planted around the site. We are so excited to watch them blossom and bloom!

Christmas Donation

We were lucky enough to receive amazing Christmas treats from M&S Winchester’s store manager, Lee White. We then ran a Facebook competition for these to be won.

Marketing Suite Opening

The Mayor of Eastleigh, Councillor Darshan Mann, kindly opened our marketing suite on 7th December. It was exciting to announce our marketing suite is officially open to visitors.

Topping Out

The building of Snowdrop Place has now been completed. We are so excited to be opening early next year! New General Manager, Sarah, and the first members of the home's team can be seen above.
