Activities at Snowdrop Place Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Wake up & Shake up

Our residents enjoy a wake up and shake up class every week at Snowdrop Place and they really enjoy it! A great way to get the body moving!

Memory Box Project

The residents at Snowdrop Place love their monthly boxes from the memory box project. They are themed reminiscence boxes and they really encourage everyone to talk and enjoy each other’s company. It is also a great way for us all to get to know one another.

Nathalie Gunn!

Nathalie Gunn came to perform for the residents and what an amazing job she did. Such a beautiful voice everyone enjoyed it so much!

Pub Lunch

The Cricketers Inn was the perfect setting for a gorgeous, summertime, pub lunch!

A few of the residents had said how they fancied a trip to the pub, so we took the minibus and did just that!

They had such a laugh together while enjoying their food and drinks in the sunshine. We will definitely be returning soon.

Scoops Boutique

Residents and staff had a visit from the Scoops Boutique vintage ice cream truck. They all had a choice of some wonderful flavours and it was perfect on such a hot summers day. We also invited the children over from the local pre-school; they were all very excited to have an ice cream!

Royal Celebrations

Snowdrop Place marked the Queen’s official 95th birthday in style with a right royal tea party. Head Chef, Josh, whipped up a tasty selection of freshly-baked biscuits, pastries and cakes for the occasion, all washed down with pots of tea. Residents took part in a variety of royal–themed events.
