Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Shelburne Lodge Care Home

Happy Birthday Margaret

A very Happy Birthday to one of our dearest residents, Margaret from all our colleagues here at Shelburne Lodge. Margaret celebrated her birthday over the weekend and she was ever so thankful for the surprise party. The icing on the cake for the birthday celebrations had to be the significant homemade cake our Chef had taken time to make for Margaret and her family for the festivites.

Remembrance Day 2023

Last week our Residents and staff at Shelburne Lodge paid tribute to the brave men, women and animals that fought in/contributed to the war effort. Without them who knows where we would be today. For many residents at Shelburne Lodge this is a very poignant day as many loved ones were lost during the war. We marked the day with the traditional 2 minutes of silence where we reflected on those who were lost along the way. We also shared heart warming stories around a warm pot of tea and fresh biscuits from our Chef. Later in the week our residents made a lovely Poppy Wreath where residents then went and put it on the War memorial in High Wycombe.
