Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Hi, my name is Rita and I am the Activities Coordinator.
I have many years of experience in Activities and I have been with Barchester since 2018. I previously worked in Chelsea in another Care Home working with all of the West End stars!
I love being part of the Ritson team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting and varied activities available every week. Learning about the residents and including their interests, hobbies and life experiences into the activities that we provide is one of the most rewarding aspects of working here. I am always one of the first to introduce myself to new residents so that we can chat about what kind of activities they enjoy.

Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Community Toddler Group
Our first community Toddler Group was a huge success here at Ritson Lodge and our residents certainly made lots of friends with our little visitors. Needless to say there was lots of smiles, laughter and we cannot wait to welcome them to the home again. Keep an eye out for the next session in February if you would like to come and join us!
Pet Therapy Session with Prince and Angela
Our residents here at Ritson Lodge just love to see Prince and Angela when they visit for our home Pet Therapy Sessions. Lots of cuddles and lots of smiles - what a super day!
Reflexology Therapy Session
Our residents here at Ritson Lodge absolutely loved their Reflexology Hand Massage Session today with the amazing Sue and certainly cannot wait for the next session soon.
Understanding Dementia Session at Hopton Primary School
Emma and Becky from Ritson Lodge were delighted to visit Hopton Primary School to give a presentation about Dementia, answer questions and distribute bespoke Dementia Awareness books to support understanding. The whole team at Ritson Lodge look forward to welcoming Hopton Primary School to Ritson Lodge very soon.
Creative Mojo Art Club
Our residents just love our Art Club here at Ritson Lodge alongside Creative Mojo Norwich, Waveney & District and have certainly been busy today creating this beautiful Peacock Collage.
Happy Birthday Elvis
Today here at Ritson Lodge we have been celebrating what would have been Elvis Presley’s 88th Birthday.
Our ladies here at the home said Elvis was, “A beautiful man with beautiful eyes and he sure could sing! What else would a lady want - he had it all!” they said.
To mark the special day we all enjoyed Banana and Peanut Butter sandwiches and a Pepsi as these were his favourite snacks.
