Hello, my name is Jo and I am the General Manager here at Ritson Lodge. Welcome to our website!
I have worked in varying aspects of healthcare for over 22 years; within NHS, county councils and charitable organisations. Over the last 19 years I have managed a variety of nursing homes and my most recent role was as a regional director.
I am particularly passionate about dementia care – ensuring that people living fulfilled lives. I love the role of activities and see it as an integral part of the home. Ritson Lodge is a lovely care home and I am really looking forward to working with the team and local area to ensure that the home is part of the Hopton Village community - engaging in local events and supporting the local community.
Hello, my name is Siobhan and I am the Deputy Manager here at Ritson Lodge. I have worked here for over a year and I have been a registered general nurse for over 10 years. Previous to working at Ritson Lodge, I have had experience in intensive care, emergency call and I also was a deputy in a community hospital that specialised in rehabilitation. I love working at Ritson Lodge because I love having the opportunity to get to know my residents and to be able to spend the time with them.
Hello, my name is Jo. I have been a Home Administrator at Barchester Healthcare for over 15 years. The role is varied and very interesting and entails a multitude of tasks that keep me busy for most days. I coordinate and facilitate all administration issues as well as management support. My role covers all financial aspects of the running of the home and you can contact me at any time to discuss anything relating to finances.
My name is Julie and I am the Head of Residential here at Ritson Lodge. I have over 25 years' experience in both the private sector and the NHS. During this time, I gained several health and social care qualifications.
Before joining the Ritson Lodge family in August 2017, I worked for 5 years as a Deputy Manager in a different residential care home. My goal is to provide high quality, person-centred care to those we support.
Hello, my name is Paul and as the Maintenance Manager, I make sure the home and gardens are looked after to a high standard. I am is also the key contact on site for outside contractors. It is my responsibility to make sure every resident's stay here is trouble free and as comfortable as possible and I am the person to go to for any problems within the rooms or home.
Hello, my name is Claire and I am the Activities Co-ordinator here at Ritson Lodge.
I have been working with the care industry since 2015 and as an Activities Co-ordinator since 2017. I love being an activities co-ordinator as it allows me to bring joy into the residents day, build relationships with them and ultimately try to make them smile!! Before starting work I completed a degree in Dance and Drama so I try to include my knowledge of this in my activities. I am also particularly passionate about activities for those living with dementia.
Hello, my name is Karen and I am the Head Housekeeper. I have been working here at Ritson Lodge for over 6 years! I love being able to interact with the residents and help everybody.
Hello, my name is Andy and I am the Head Chef here at Ritson Lodge. My job is to make sure that every meal time is of a high standard and enjoyed by our residents. I am also responsible for meeting any special dietary requirements. I really enjoy providing quality food and catering to our visitors, relatives and guests whenever they visit Ritson Lodge.
Hello, my name is Cherri and I am one of the Nurses at Ritson Lodge. I have been a nurse for over 17 years and I have experience in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Clinical Education for student nurses and Care within a home setting. I decided to move to Ritson last year because I wanted a change and I absolutely love it. I love working with the residents and I have a particular passion for our memory lane and the residents living with dementia.

Hello my name is Reese and I am a Host here at Ritson Lodge. I have worked here for over three years and I have spent time in the kitchen and as a Host. I love being a host because I like to help the residents and be able to interact with them.
Hello, my name is Barry and I am the Second Chef here at Ritson Lodge care home. I love working in the kitchen and enjoy learning what the residents likes and dislikes are.
