Activities at Ritson Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Open Day

We hosted an open day on 27th January, which was very successful. We were joined by many people who wanted to take a look round our home. We also had Angela in, who was doing a reminiscence talk in the morning, and Felicity, who sang some songs for us in the afternoon.

Burns Night

Everyone enjoyed listening to Ian play the bagpipe. We also had a toast with Prosecco and non-alcoholic beverages were also available. For supper, there was also the option of haggis on the menu.

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve here at Ritson Lodge. Friends and loved ones of residents at Ritson all gathered for a celebration, during which some of the staff could even be seen having a singalong! Thank you to everyone who attended – it was our pleasure having you here, and we hope to see you again next year!

Christmas Fayre

We had a fabulous Christmas Fayre on the 9th December, which had a variety of stalls available for visitors to peruse. We also had a singer and a ‘pet corner’ to entertain guests.

Roundabout Ringers

Residents got into the Christmas spirit when the ‘Roundabout Ringers’ came to visit. They were all singing along and had a great time in the run up to Christmas.
