Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Our Sensory Garden
Our Sensory Garden will be in full bloom a little later this year. However, resident, Nicolina, is enjoying the sights and smells of a host of herbs and sweet-smelling flowers already.
10 Years of Service
Our Senior Nurse, Lorraine O'Donnell, has been at Barchester for 10 years. She is an asset to our unique team!
Barchy Bear at Prestbury
Our gardens are really blooming at this time; we had a Barchy Bear hunt around the grounds, but it wasn't long before he was found hiding in the daffodils.
Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope
A cold but bright day allowed us to take a walk in the grounds and appreciate the sheer scale of this iconic structure. We didn't get to see any green men, but there is a strange face if you can find it.
Easter Bunnies
We really let our hair down during our monthly armchair exercise class. Here is Bert with his very own bunny ears; he wore them constantly over the Easter holiday.
Easter Bonnets
Easter brings out the creative side in many residents here at Prestbury; we ran a competition for the most impressive Easter bonnet and there were some wonderful creations.
