Activities at Ochil Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Ochil Care Home

Pony Visit

The 11th of November the very much loved guests, the therapy ponies, were here to see our residents for the morning. Each and every one of our resident’s loved and got to spend time with these gorgeous ponies. And they left our resident’s with a huge smile on their faces.

Barber Shop Choir

On the 6th of November Ochil had the Barber Shop choir in for the afternoon. Singing all the well-known songs and getting our resident’s involved. All our residents had a great time and were singing along smiling.

Residents Enjoy a Trip to Black Watch

Residents of Ochil took a trip down memory lane with a visit to local museum, Black Watch in Perth. The museum is housed within the historic Balhousie Castle, the origins of which are said to date back to the 12th century.

It brought back a lot of emotions and feelings with talk of own experiences being shared as they sat down to coffee and cake in the museums café following their tour.  Everyone had an amazing time and are looking forward to their next trip out.

Pantomime Show

Residents recently enjoyed a Doris Day pantomime which left everyone with large smiles on their faces as they remembered this iconic Hollywood face who was part of the Golden Age of Hollywood with the film hits from Romance on the High Seas and starred in films of many genres, including musicals, comedies, dramas, and thrillers.

The performance ensured that everyone sung-along to the wonderful hits of this generation. The afternoon left everyone in a great mood.

Safari Day

Safari Day

Ochil had a lovely day at Blair Drummond safari park on the 3rd of September. We spend the whole day there and the residents came back in a fantastic mood!!
