Activities at Oaklands Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Royal Birthday Celebrations

Residents and their families and friends celebrated Her Majesty’s birthday by having an afternoon tea party on the patio in our main garden. The sun shone beautifully for us, so we were able to enjoy our afternoon and sitting out in the garden.

Bingo & Barchester Rocks

Children spent the day at Hilton Park & Oaklands helping residents with the morning bingo session. Residents always welcome children into the home and they thoroughly enjoy interacting with the younger generation.

In the afternoon, the children painted rocks with the residents, and had great fun doing so. The children enjoyed lunch in the garden and each one took a certificate home with them, which they proudly showed the residents.

Elvis is Back in the Building

Elvis is Back in the Building

Elvis came to perform for residents and visitors after our Easter egg hunt. The residents all enjoyed a lovely singalong and were very pleased to welcome Elvis back!
