Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:

Acting General Manager

Hello, my name is Geanina, and I am the Acting General Manager here at Oaklands. Welcome to our website! I qualified as a nurse many years ago and joined Oaklands in 2017.

Caring for frail older people has always been very close to my heart and myself, and my team here at Oaklands are committed to ensure that all of our residents receive the highest quality care at all times. 

It is hugely rewarding to be able to support our residents and help them to lead fully enriched lives in their new home. I cannot praise my team enough and it gives me great pleasure to help mentor and develop their nursing careers with Barchester too!

I have always believed in a very “hands on” approach to running a home as I feel that it is the best way to build relationships and get to thoroughly know our residents even more.  

My door is always open to anyone, even if only for a cup of tea and a chat! If I can be of any help with your care enquiry please do not hesitate to contact our home and I will do my upmost to assist you in whatever way I can.

Deputy Manager

Cristina is a registered nurse and joined Barchester in March 2004. She has worked for the company in a variety of different roles and, in October 2018, she was promoted from Senior Clinical Lead to Deputy Manager of Oaklands. Her role is diverse and she hopes to use the experience and knowledge she has gained to empower the team to deliver the high standards of care expected throughout Barchester.

Unit Manager

Ana-Maria joined Barchester in January 2016 and is currently the Elms Unit Manager. She qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2015. Ana-Maria loves her job, as every day is different. She feels priviledge to work with such a dedicated team.

Unit Manager

Iskra has been with Barchester since June 2016 and is the Unit Manager on Marple Lane. Iskra feels very passionate about her work and the difference the home makes to the residents' difficult journey through dementia.

Unit Manager

I have been working as a nurse for over 20 years. I have experience in ICU, mental health and elderly care. I am currently working in Willow Drive, which is a unit for younger physically disabled residents. I love my job and by brilliant team.

John Wayman

John Wayman

Head Chef

John provides a high standard of dining for all of our residents here at Oaklands, catering for all of their dietary requirements. Barchester prides itself on using only fresh ingredients and John enhances this by sourcing local and seasonal produce which is freshly prepared.

Head of Maintenance

David joined Oaklands in May 2018 and is striving to deliver the right first time impression for all the residents, their families and friends by giving them the home and garden they deserve; one where they can feel relaxed and at home in.

Jester Liwag

Jester Liwag

Head of Housekeeping

Jester joined the company in July 2011 and worked his way up the ladder to the Head of Housekeeping by January 2016. Jester manages the housekeeping and laundry team here at Oaklands and, although he's only young, he is extremely ambitious and has managed to build up a strong team who have tremendous pride in their work.

Gardener

Charles Cook has been the Gardener here at Hilton Park since 2009. He is a wildlife enthusiast and keen photographer. Charles created the wonderful wildlife pond in our main garden, which is a favourite place for residents and visitors. It is a beautiful, tranquil spot to rest and a lovely addition to our well-maintained garden.

Administrator

Jane joined Oaklands as a receptionist in 2009. She began taking on Administrative roles within the Company and now holds the post of Administrator, leading a team of Administrative Assistants.
