The village of Melbourn is steeped in history and has some of the most beautiful thatched cottages in the country, and the springs at Melbourn Bury, along with the peaceful River Mel, have also made it very popular with locals and visitors alike.

A great addition to the village has been the Melbourn Community Hub which comprises of the Bookmark Café, the library, parish council offices and it is also a venue for many community activities and events. There are many clubs and societies that meet regularly, in addition to the village’s Mobile Warden Scheme, ensuring that no one is left isolated.
