Hello, my name is Nevin, and I am the Deputy Manager at Melbourn Springs Care Home.

I began my journey with Barchester in 2020 and have been proud to grow within the company. Providing high-quality care and ensuring our residents’ happiness and well-being has always been at the heart of what I do. Supporting residents with their daily routines brings me great satisfaction, and I truly value the time spent listening to their life stories.

Alongside our dedicated team, I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and cared for like family.

Hello, my name is Eddy and I am a Team Leader at Melbourn Springs. 

I have been with the company since permanently since August 2024 having previously been working at a bank member of staff.

My ultimate goal at Melbourn Springs is to ensure that every resident gets the most of out of everyday and I strive to ensure that I am doing all I can do every day for the benefit of the residents.

Hello, my name is Lesley and I am the Administration Manager here at Melbourn Springs.

I joined Barchester in 2022 and I am here to assist with all of the aspects attached to the administration of the home.

I have previous experience of working in this role and always enjoyed working closely with people and supporting the residents their families and friends, the staff and members of the public. Hello, my name is Rob and I am the Head of Maintenance here at Melbourn Springs.

Helping to make our home inviting, comfortable and safe for our residents, relatives, guests and colleagues is absolutely paramount to me.

I am exceptionally proud to work for Barchester and am committed to maintaining the highest standards in everything that we do for those that have chosen to make Melbourn Springs their home.

Hello, my name is Deirdre Rogers and I am the Resident Ambassador at Melbourn Springs.

I am a volunteer and my role is to support the residents and their relatives and act as their voice. I listen to their compliments, concerns and suggestions and share this information with Magda, the General Manager, on a regular basis. I also attend the meetings for Residents and Relatives.

My step-mother was a resident in the Elstar community for three years, having moved here in December 2021.

I am retired and was previously employed as an Ofsted Early Years Inspector and Team Manager for 20 years. I have also worked as a volunteer setting up many local community projects as well as a befriender for Age UK.

My aim is to ensure that a high standard of care for all residents is maintained and continuously improved

Hello, my name is Andrew and I am a Senior Care Assistant here at Melbourn Springs.

I have worked in the care of elderly people for many years now and joined Barchester in 2021.

Melbourn Springs is unlike any other place that I have worked previously and the standards and training are absolutely exceptional. I thoroughly enjoy working alongside the team here at the home to provide the best care for our residents every single day!

I love helping people who are looking for care. My role is all about offering advice, guiding families through their options, and making sure everyone feels supported every step of the way. I also work closely with our local community, building connections and helping people feel welcome at Melbourn Springs.

What I enjoy most about my job is seeing the difference a little guidance and reassurance can make for families and residents. Every day brings new opportunities to help, connect, and make our home a warm, caring place for everyone.

I joined Barchester at the end of 2023. I started my career in caring for the elderly many years ago and always enjoy spending time with our residents and like to ensure they receive the highest quality of care.  

I aim to make Melbourn Springs a home away from home for our residents and to help support them with their daily routines.

Hello, My name is Anne and I am the Activities Lead here at Melbourn Springs.

I have a passion for elderly care, ensuring that all residents feel included and valued.  Here at Melbourn Springs we strive to ensure our residents are always smiling, laughing and engaged in a wide variety of activities. I organise regular outdoor trips with our minibus, and we also have a variety of entertainers that visit our Home.

I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Hello, my name is Alison and I am the Head of Housekeeping here at Melbourn Springs.

I started my career with Barchester when Melbourn Springs first opened in 2020 and have progressed to Head of Housekeeping. I pride myself on leading a team to keep our lovely home looking clean and sparkly everyday.

The highlight of my day is always speaking to residents about their lives and also keeping them updated on my allotment.
