Activities at Oak Grange Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Oak Grange Care Home

National Storytelling Week

National Storytelling Week

We were joined by our little friends from Chestnut House Nursery, and it was National Storytelling Week, so we focused on choosing some lovely new books to read and share. Residents read so eloquently that they immediately grabbed the children's attention.

Flexercise Trial

Flexercise Trial

Residents had a trial 'Flexercise' session in December and enjoyed it so much that they decided they would like to do it regularly, so we now have classes twice a month in the Castle Oak Lounge at Oak Grange.

Many of our visitors enjoyed taking part, and if you would like to come along and try, you are very welcome to.

,

Music Therapy

We were joined by Kiddleydivey, who put on a wonderful performance for residents here at Oak Grange.

,

Winnie the Pooh Day

We hosted a coffee morning on Winnie the Pooh Day, where tasted different honey varieties from around the world, and shared our favourite A. A. Milne poems to mark his birthday. In the afternoon, we watched the new Christopher Robin moving in our cinema room.
