Beeston View Care Home in Cheshire

Following significant investment, Beeston View has a brand new look! The appearance of our home has been carefully designed with the people we care for in mind. Our new communal areas are the perfect spot for socialising or taking part in one of our many daily activities and our new bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Why not pop in to our home to see for yourself?

Beeston View is a modern, purpose-built care home set in landscaped gardens. You'll find us at the edge of Taporley Village and on the outskirts of the city of Chester.

We provide care and support to people living with dementia in a dedicated unit, with interior space, colours and bedrooms all designed to help with difficulties associated with dementia. Interior design is similarly tailored to need, with striking colour contrasts, reminiscence aids, differentiated resident doors and appropriate signage.

Nursing & Residential Care

Beeston View features a dedicated Memory Lane Community providing excellent 24-hour residential and nursing care and support for people living with dementia in a warm, welcoming and friendly environment.  Our team of qualified and dedicated staff will attend to residents’ individual needs with professionalism and a caring attitude.

Care is based on personalised care planning, which begins pre-admission. Many residents are able to contribute to their care plan and its review but family involvement is also encouraged.

Activities include outside agencies and individuals coming into the home such as, entertainers, singers and Pets As Therapy dog-handlers.  We also welcome groups from church representatives and a monthly service is held in Beeston View to which all residents are welcome.

Group activities include walks in the garden, tea parties, film shows, musical activities, exercise and games. Individual activities include crafts, arts, painting, jigsaws and videos.

The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator for the care sector. On its most recent inspection visit to Beeston View it noted (CQC's copyright, recording a visit in July 2014) “Everyone commented on the kindness and gentleness of the staff at Beeston View. People told us that their dignity and privacy were respected when staff were supporting them, and particularly with personal care. We saw that staff addressed people by their preferred name and we heard staff explaining what they were about to do and sought their permission before carrying out any tasks”.

Beeston View is the kind of home that it’s best to see for yourself. We would welcome you to call in and meet with our General Manager, Suzanne and the staff or to call us for further information.

Lynne Loughlin

Senior Activities Coordinator

I started my career with Barchester as a Carer, with 5 years experience in the care sector previously. I have also achieved an NVQ in Hospitality and, in April of 2014, I assumed the role of Senior Activities Coordinator at this home.

We all know that keeping active is important and that's why my team and I are here – to ensure that residents experience an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. The home has its own minibus for our numerous trips out to various local places of interest.

My aim is to make sure there is something for everyone here; I create a monthly schedule that is packed with many different types of activities, from musical entertainment to sensory stimulation and much more.

I am focused on building up our volunteer base, including family members and students from the local school. Each volunteer will receive a warm welcome to our Barchester family. We are building relationships with our local communities and integrating them into our home as well.

We are trying to educate people about dementia by raising awareness within the community. We already have relationships with the local Beaver Scout Group and primary schools, in addition to other organisations.

I am proud to work for Barchester and to be a part of a very important service.

After this, I heard of the opportunity to come and work at Iddenshall Hall & Beeston View as an Admin Assistant. The position sounded just what I was looking for. Since starting here, everybody has been very welcoming and friendly, and I really feel like a valued member of the team.
