Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Hello. I am Jackie, the Lead Activity Co-Ordinator at Moreton Hill. I have worked for Barchester for over 10 years. Now, together with my team and the staff at our beautiful home, our aim is to help all residents live life to the best they can by bringing meaningful and enriching activities into their lives.

Gfitness Exercise Classes a Hit
Moreton Hill residents are loving the new Gfitness with Martha. We had a great session, the exercises are perfect for the residents and great fun. Chair based exercise is perfect and exercise offers so many benefits to everyone.
Happy Birthday Daney
Happy Birthday to Moreton Hill's amazing Manager Daney Thomas. The team and residents surprised Daney with a beautiful rose, card and personalised cake. Everyone at Moreton Hill was delighted to make today a day for Daney as she is so dedicated, caring and selfless with her time for others.
Moreton Hill Celebrate Queen's Platinum Jubilee in Style
Moreton Hill celebrated the Jubilee in style yesterday, we had a fabulous day. Everyone enjoyed a barbeque lunch, followed by a fun filled afternoon with family and friends. There was live singing from favourites Shelia and Steve with the celebrations finished off with a traditional afternoon tea. It was a perfect afternoon with loved ones to mark this momentous occasion.

King and Queen for a Day!
Moreton Hill residents were crowned King and Queen in our Royal photoshoot. With our own throne, regal cloak and crown we had great fun along with a lovely opportunity to hear memories of the Queen's Coronation, with one resident telling us about the Coronation of George VI. For so many it was about watching a big event on TV for the first time. Many families purchased their first TV to watch this momentous occasion. We were delighted to crown so many of our wonderful residents.
Queen's Jubilee Flower Arrangements
Preparations are well under way for Friday's Jubilee Celebration event at Moreton Hill. Today residents made beautiful floral table decorations. The arrangements have Rosemary for rememberance, locally grown Sweet Peas and Oxeye Daisies with each display finished with a Union Jack detail. Not only did everyone enjoy creating the arrangements, we were all delighted with the finished displays. It is an exciting few days ahead.
