Activities at Moors Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.

I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.

When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.

I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Meet the Owls

We had a wonderful afternoon with a visit from Liberty's Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre who came along to our home with a variety of owls and falcons.
☀️The weather was beautiful so we all enjoyed sitting in the garden to see and learn about these stunning birds.

Community Café

We welcomed some members of our local community in for our monthly community cafe which launched today, lots of good conversations over tea and sweet treats - good luck to the ladies who took our word wheel away to complete - I hope one of you gets the long word!

Look forward to seeing you all next month.

Film Afternoon

What better way to spend a afternoon when the weather has turned grey than watch a film with some snacks.  Our lovely carer Sam,  along with the rest of the team created a lovely afternoon for our residents in our cinema room.  The residents opted to watch Gosford Park for a little bit of mystery, drama and comedy all in one.

Film Afternoon is a popular choice here at Moors Manor becoming a weekly event - I can't wait to see what's next weeks choice is!
