Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is a major focus of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat will always be welcomed.

Hello, my name is Denise and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Melbourn Springs. I joined Barchester in 2022 and always strive to support and care for all of our residents in a way that best suits each individual.
Making sure that our residents have things to do that they really enjoy doing is something that I hold very close to my heart. It is so important to make sure that they are happy and enjoy all of the activities and events that we host for them.
A lot of our residents also enjoy our special trips out on our Mini Bus as we create new, special memories together at Melbourn Springs.

Valentines Day 2022
Our residents and staff sure had lots of fun here at Melbourn Springs this Valentines Day and needless to say there was lots of laughter and chocolate too!
Balloon Tennis
Deuce! How on earth one got stuck to the ceiling is beyond us but all we do know is that Balloon Tennis is a sure is a lot of fun!
Chinese New Year Celebrations
A big congratulations to Phil our new Head Chef here at Melbourn Springs and our January employee of the month.
As you can see, Phil certainly did not disappoint this Chinese New Year. And he also freshly prepared a traditional Indian Thali meal for our special Resident of the Day too!
“Phil’s food is absolutely delicious and we are very lucky to have such a fine Chef here at the home” said resident Audrey.

Craft Club - Decoupage Session
Decoupage was the art form our residents where exploring this week at Melbourn Springs Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the session with Jeannette adding, “This really is good fun - I just want to decoupage everything now!”
