Activities at Melbourn Springs Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is a major focus of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat will always be welcomed.

Life at Melbourn Springs Care Home

Save room for Pudding
We were happy and grateful to be invited by our friends at Hilton Park Care Home to join them at their Pudding Club.
Our residents had a lovely afternoon trying all of the amazing cakes that were provided and went home with smiles on faces and full tummies.
We look forward to returning the favour when we host our own Pudding Club later this year.

Fun and Games at Melbourn Springs
We have had a busy morning at Melbourn Springs playing our favourite board games including Scrabble, Jenga, the name guessing game and our residents' favourite cards games.
We also continued with our alphabet quiz where all of the answer start with specific letters of the alphabet. This week the answers all started with the letters U,V or W.
Molly was the proud winner of the quiz!!!

Petting time at Melbourn Springs
Back by popular demand at Melbourn Springs was Michelle's Animal Therapy & Petting Party. The residents wanted more cuddle time and we simply couldn't say no!!
It was an especially lovely visit this time because 8-week old Poppy the Pup and two 5-week old bunny rabbits came along to play along with the dogs, cats, tortoise, crested dragon, guinea pig and not forgetting Doris the chicken.
The residents (and staff) had the best afternoon and our doors will always be open for Michelle and the animals.

Singing and Dancing with Kirsty
The residents at Melbourn Springs had a lovely afternoon listening to the amazing Kirsty Wright as she went through her full repertoire.
There was lots of singing and dancing not to mention some lovely duets with Kirsty and the residents.
Another great day at Melbourn Springs and we cannot wait to welcome Kirsty back in the very near future!!

The village way!!
We had a great day on Saturday at the Melbourn Village Fete.
After a slightly wet start to the day, the sun came out as did the people as lots of Melbourn Springs Goodie bags were handed out.
We even managed to get a couple of our residents to come over and say hello.
We can't wait to do the same next year!!!!

Celebrating our Carers
We rounded off Carers Week 2024 with a BBQ Party for our amazing staff.
We would not be able to do what we do for our residents without the great work that everybody does at Melbourn Springs so to be able to show the staff how much they are truly appreciated is very special for us.
