Activities at Marnel Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

We both joined Marnel a while ago and we are very excited to be part of such a proactive and dedicated team. There are lots of ideas and innovations, all to enhance quality of life of our residents. Every day is different and to understand the needs of our residents, building relationship with them and keeping in touch with their families and friends, is the most important and rewarding job we could have wish for.

Plumbing Course Award
Our lovely resident Brian, who used to be world class engineer, completed a plumbing course with our Maintenance team. Well done Brian!

Halloween Celebrations
Everyone had lots of fun celebrating Halloween here at Marnel.
Reaching for the Stars
Our team had the great idea of buying a star and naming it after Marnel Lodge.
Celebrating Life
On 8th and 9th October, we were celebrating the lives of the residents we have lost. Our lovely relatives and friends came along and, after the service, each of us attached a special message to a balloon and released/ For some people, this meant closure.
109th Birthday Celebration
Our lovely resident, Alice celebrated her 109th Birthday on 29th of September 2019 surrounded by relatives and team at Marnel. Alice loves chocolates and sweets so our team made lovely birthday cake to celebrate such special event.
We all believe that homemade cake is a secret of long and healthy life. Many happy returns dearest Alice.
