Activities at Four Hills Care Home

Our activity and lifestyle programme is arranged for all our residents to participate in and is updated regularly based on ideas from our residents group during our resident forum. Our Resident of the Day strategy ensures each person receives at least one day each month where the focus is all about them.

We have a monthly concert and to date this is appreciated and enjoyed by most residents. The Four Hills Taverns is open for business every Friday afternoon and is an area where residents and staff socialise, hold pub quizzes and partake in a little refreshment.

The team at Four Hills try hard to meet everyone's needs and encourage all residents and their families to join in the fun.

Easter Bonnet Parade at Four Hills

Four Hills residents had a great time strutting their stuff at our Easter Bonnet parade.

Our residents took a great time in using their creativity skills and making them. It evoked memories of making them with their children and grandchildren, prizes where given for the best designs.

A great day enjoyed by all!

Easter celebrations at Four Hills

Staff and residents at Four Hills have been busy scheduling a variety of Easter themed activities for all residents to enjoy during the holiday.

To celebrate Easter in style, the home was decorated with Easter eggs, bunnies and colourful banners to bring the holiday spirit.

Throughout the day, everyone got involved in a variety of fun-filled activities, from enjoying hot cross buns to Bingo & poetry, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny!

The residents had the opportunity to learn more about the Easter traditions and reminiscence about how they used to celebrate the day.

What a lovely Easter full of colour, laughter and chocolate!

Special Birthday celebrations for a special lady!

Four Hills resident Eileen celebrates her landmark 99th birthday, she had a great afternoon at her tea party and loved her delicious cake.

Everyone at Four Hills wishes her the happiest of birthdays.

National Scrabble Day

The home was in high spirits as we celebrated the day in style by organising inter-home scrabble tournament which was great fun.

The day finished off with a Scrabble quiz and delicious afternoon treats, which brought smiles and laughter into the home.

Many of the residents take pleasure in playing scrabble and find it relaxing, they also enjoy making new friends along the way.

Easter Preparations

Easter preparations are in full swing at Four Hills as we started decorating our Easter Bonnets and make Easter cards ready for our Easter bonnet parade.

An Easter bonnet is any new or fancy hat worn by tradition as a Christian headcovering on Easter. It represents the tail end of A tradition of wearing new clothes at Easter, in harmony with the renewal of the year and the promise of spiritual renewal and redemption.

Virtual event with the Wallace Collection

We had a lovely time joining Holly and Marie-Therese from the Wallace Collection, for a virtual introduction to the Collection, followed by a sensory exploratory walk through one of the museum’s most famous landscape paintings.

The Collection ranges from Old Master paintings to 18th century French furniture, arms and armour.

We all had a wonderful time and cannot wait to put our creative skills to a test and paint some landscapes in the upcoming days.
