Activities at Crandon Springs Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Katherine Cork

Activities Assistant

Hello, my name is Kath and I’m the Activities Assistant here at Crandon Springs.

As part of the Activities and lifestyle enrichment team, I help in organising our daily activities, ensuring that all of our residents have a variety of activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives by providing meaningful and engaging activities and, having been both a teacher and care assistant in the past, have a wealth of experience behind me. You'll rarely find me without a smile and I'm very family orientated, and I love how both the residents' and colleagues Crandon Springs feel like a second family to me!

Cream Tea Afternoon

The residents and colleagues at Crandon Springs would like to say a huge thank you to the team at Daniels Café and Catering for providing cream teas for the residents.

Crandon Springs and Daniels Café have worked in partnership successfully for several months and we are so grateful for all they do for the community.

Royal Ascot Celebrations

Our residents here at Crandon Springs have recently enjoyed a wine and beer tasting event alongside enjoying The Royal Ascot!

Our ladies enjoyed wearing their favourite hats for ladies day with a glass of wine whilst the gentleman enjoyed trying local ales and beers.

Carers Week

As part of carers week, Bethany our Home Service Advisor has been out in the community today giving goody bags to domiciliary carers to say thank you for all their hard work.

The goody bags include information about Crandon Springs Care Home, some handy goodies and most importantly some freshly baked chocolate cookies made by our Head Chef Rafal.

We hope you all thoroughly enjoy them and thank you for all your hard work.

Ice Cream Visit!

We have had a very important visitor today! Probably the most popular visitor to date!! Thank you so much to Ollys Lollys for visiting Crandon Springs today.

Today our residents have been visited by local businessman and ice cream man Olly. With the sun shining, a cold ice cream most definitely went down well with every single one of our residents.

The afternoon has been such a success we will be hoping to see Olly again very soon and often.

Meeting the community.

Today our Home Service Advisor, Bethany, is at the local Tesco Superstore in Wells giving away free goody bags and raising awareness of our brand new care home.

It has been a lovely morning and a perfect way to meet local members of the community during their day to day lives. We look forward to supporting the local community going forward.
