Simon Jackson
Head Chef
With over 40 years of culinary experience, I’ve developed a great understanding of how thoughtful, nourishing meals support both physical health and emotional wellbeing. My career began the Royal Navy, where I learned the importance of precision, teamwork, and the power of good food. Since then, I’ve cooked in some of Wells’ most respected restaurants and hotels and in care home settings, gaining insight into the unique nutritional needs of older adults.
At Crandon Springs, I take pleasure in crafting home‑cooked meals that are both delicious and tailored to our residents’ individual preferences and dietary requirements. It’s rewarding to see the delight a thoughtfully prepared dish brings, and to know it makes a difference in someone’s day.
