Activities at Brook House Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Brook House Care Home

Gunnersbury Park

Residents at Brook House had a lovely visit to Gunnersbury Park recently. Everyone enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful views and the park's museum, where we've learnt interesting facts about the former home of Nathan de Rothschild.

We had a lovely lunch in the garden with a variety of drinks. A fantastic time was had by all.

Norma plays piano!

Norma is our lovely resident who used to play piano a long time ago. Norma worked on her finger dexterity by using the piano which made her happy during the day.

BBQ Time!

With wonderful BBQ weather, a selection of beverages, and live music, our residents enjoyed the lovely sunny weather in the garden. We declared the Brook House Personality of the Year award winners. What a wonderful time we had with the employees, residents, and family.

Brent Shopping Centre

A delightful outing at Brent Shopping Centre with the residents. We drank coffee, then talked on which store to go to first. Most of the residents took pleasure in both shopping and friendly chat with fellow shoppers. Following that, the residents and staff shared a delicious lunch. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Happy Birthday!

Olinda had her 99th birthday and she was very happy. Her Family came to visit her and they came with different surprises(cards, flowers etc.). The staff help in decorating the rooms with balloons and flowers. The Chef prepared a lovely cake to make her happy and loved. Some  of the residents and staff also surprised her by singing birthday songs and wishing her a lovely birthday.

National Dog day

It's National Dog day. A dog was brought to the Brook House by well-wishers. One of the resident (Stephen) was happy to see the dog around as it reminded him of the dog he had in the past. All the residents were happy to see and play with the dog.
