John Gilfillan
Hi, my name is John, and I am the General Manager here at Brook House.
I have worked at Brook House since 2007. I was first attracted to this home because of the homely environment and friendly staff.
Nothing is too much to ensure that the residents are happy and their needs are met.
I work every Sunday to ensure that there is contact with loves ones who may not be able to visit during the week.
Brook House provides excellent care, which is reflected in our CQC rating. We always work hard to promote residents' interests prior to moving into the home.
Baljeet Bouri
Hello. My name is Baljeet. I am a Nurse and our home's Dementia Champion.
This role has been a wonderful opportunity for me to understand the importance of involvement to care plans, family and friends, as well healthcare professionals, to implement best practice in order to improve care and wellbeing for residents living with dementia.
I am really delighted that I have been chosen as a Dementia Champion role.
My skills as well as my recent learning and knowledge has helped me to enhance my role in order to provide best care to my residents at all times.
Rita Minkeliene
Hi, my name is Rita and I joined Brook House in October 2017 as the Finance Administrator. I have an NVQ in accounting.
I find working for Barchester to be very rewarding. The company truly cares about the welfare of its employees as much as they care about the welfare of residents.
I am very proud to be working with a great team that endeavours to provide the best standard of care for those they support.
Karolina Kwiatkowska
I have worked for Barchester Healthcare since 2013. My roles have included Carer and Senior Carer. I am now the Senior Activities Coordinator.
I enjoy my job role understanding the residents hobbies and interests. I take in to account peoples capabilities and strengths in planning the activities.
I pride myself in having a varied program catering for the whole home.
Sorin Caliman
I joined the team at Brook House in 2014 as the Head of Maintenance. It is my responsibility to maintain the home to the highest possible standard. I liaise with outside contractors and the home management team at all times and will always ensure that a room is ready when a resident moves in.
I will always do my best to assist residents and their families with personalising their new quarters. I also make sure that all the gardens, along with the courtyard, are colourful all year round for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Elisabeta Moraru
My name is Ella and I'm working at Brook House as the Head Housekeeper. I have run the domestic departments at the home since 2018. Im a people-person and I like making people feel comfortable in my presence. I am passionate about my work and because I love what I do, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best.
