Activities at Brampton View Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Emma Robinson

Activities Lead

My name is Emma. I am the Activities Lead here at Brampton View. I joined the home in 2023 and I bring lots of new and exciting ideas to the role.

Having worked in the role before I am passionate about bringing a smile to all our residents faces and ensuring they make the most of their time here with us.

If you would like to come and chat with me about your family member then please contact the home to arrange this.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Brampton View Care Home

Enjoying the tranquility

Joy made the most of the recent sunny weather, enjoying some peace and quiet in the gardens, with a beautiful view of the countryside and watching the local wildlife.

Bunnies and bubbles

Thank you very much to local charity, Peak Empower, for a fabulous donation of chocolate rabbits and toiletries for the care and nursing staff at Brampton View. The donation included enough men's and women's toiletry bags for everyone to have one, with an assortment of shower and cosmetic items. Thank you Saffy and friends at Peak Empower - it was very kind of you to think of us and really appreciated by Francesca and her colleagues on the residential community. Here comes pamper night!

Homemade cookies to share

This week the Brampton View Activities Team organised a cookery session for residents on our Memory Lane community. Pat made delicious chocolate chip cookies to share with friends.

National Carers' Week celebrations

In June we celebrated national Carers' Week and Pat showed the appreciation of everyone at Brampton View by delivering cakes to our wonderful care teams. This annual special week is so important for reminding people of the dedication of people working in the sector who provide care, compassion and kindness to those who need it. THANK YOU - you're all doing a fabulous job.

Competitive bowling on the Wii

Residents have been getting competitive in the lounge, playing the bowling game on the Brampton View Wii. It's a great way keep fit and have fun with friends, while still social distancing.

Meet our new (feathered) residents

We are delighted that five blue tit chicks have hatched in a bird box in the Memory Lane courtyard at Brampton View. While the country has been in lock down our Activities Team has supported residents to spend more time than usual enjoying our outdoor spaces, and we're pleased the wildlife appreciates it too. We have bird feeders all around our gardens and views of rolling countryside making this a lovely environment for birds, rabbits, squirrels and other creatures. We all look forward to seeing the fledglings leave their box soon.
