Activities at Brampton View Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

My name is Emma. I am the Activities Lead here at Brampton View. I joined the home in 2023 and I bring lots of new and exciting ideas to the role.

Having worked in the role before I am passionate about bringing a smile to all our residents faces and ensuring they make the most of their time here with us.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Brampton View Care Home

Pancake Day was flippin' fun

This year Residents at Brampton View enjoyed mini-pancakes with toppings including fruit, chocolate and traditional lemon and sugar. Len and other residents tried flipping some with Head Chef Ian and Kitchen Assistant Steve.

A happy 90th birthday for Joy

We couldn’t give Joy a big party this year but we still made her day special. She had a hair and nails makeover first thing, then we all sang ‘Happy Birthday’. She enjoyed a Skype call with her daughter, Janet, and later a visit from her daughter, Jill, and her granddaughter. Joy received two birthday cakes - one from her family and one from Brampton View. It was a lovely day – Happy Birthday Joy!

Manicure day

Marjorie enjoyed her weekly pamper session at Brampton View thanks to the skills of our Carers and Activities Coordinators who like to make residents feel special. Marjorie’s hair and nails look beautiful.

Indoor ball games

Marjorie, Pam and Len enjoyed indoor ball games at Brampton View, winning points and having fun with friends.

Question time

Rosemary enjoyed respite care at Brampton View and loved taking part in our activities. This game involved throwing dice then answering a question corresponding to the number on the dice. It is fun and keeps us physically active and mentally alert.

Meet our Kitchen Team

Head Chef, Ian, and his team prepare delicious food to meet every resident’s nutritional needs, dietary preferences and swallowing ability. Ian (left) designs the menus and manages the kitchen team. Regina (centre) is one of our Dining Hosts, serving meals and assisting people with eating if required, to make sure they eat enough. Steve (right) is one of our Kitchen Assistants - he and the rest of the team chop, mix and cook plenty of food for everyone.
