Activities at Brampton View Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Brampton View Care Home

Baking Club
Here at Brampton View we love to bake and decorate our own snacks. Last week we decorated biscuits and cakes to enjoy with a cup of tea in the afternoon. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the session and spent time reminiscing about baking at home and their most favourite sweet treats!

Christmas Day at Brampton View!
We have spent the morning accompanied by our wonderful families and even had a visit from Father Christmas and his head elf to deliver presents to everyone. The smiles speak for themselves. Who knew Father Christmas had such a resemblance to our chef!
Christmas lunch has been eaten and we are now well and truly ready for an afternoon snooze. We have enjoyed traditional turkey and Christmas pudding with all home-made trimmings. One resident commented it was the best lunch she has had for a long time.
Huge thank you to everyone who has wished us all a merry Christmas. We hope you all have a wonderful day and we look forward to seeing more of you over the festive period!
Another big thank you to our incredible staff who have made this Christmas so special for all. We couldn’t do it without you.

Christmas Party
What a fabulous afternoon we had yesterday for our Christmas party! We were joined by the wonderful Fiona who entertained us with all the Christmas classics!
The kitchen produced some delicious treats including mini mince pies and brownies and we even had a quick visit from Father Christmas. We spent the afternoon singing away and now we are ready for the big day. Thank you to all who attended.

Private Christmas Dining
Today we hosted a private dining experience for residents and family. We welcomed the family into the home to have a Christmas meal with their relatives and spend the afternoon together. The kitchen team served a full Christmas menu for the event and received high praise prior to the big day ahead! If you would like to book a private dining experience then please contact us here at Brampton View.

Virtual Reality Christmas Experiences
This week we were treated to a virtual reality experience with a Christmas twist. We were able to experience riding through the snow on a Christmas sleigh with Father Christmas, Reindeers and Christmas Church Services. All these experiences are able to be brought to us with the magic of a virtual reality headset from the comfort of our seats! What will we be able to experience next year?

Carolling Church Service
Our local church from Kingsthorpe parish visited us this week for a carolling church service. We spent the evening singing along to classic carols and listening to the Christmas story and prayers. The minister met the residents who attended and learnt about their lives and the residents commented that it was lovely to have the service brought to them.
