Activities at Brampton View Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Emma Robinson

Activities Lead

My name is Emma. I am the Activities Lead here at Brampton View. I joined the home in 2023 and I bring lots of new and exciting ideas to the role.

Having worked in the role before I am passionate about bringing a smile to all our residents faces and ensuring they make the most of their time here with us.

If you would like to come and chat with me about your family member then please contact the home to arrange this.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Brampton View Care Home

A christmas cake too good to eat

Glenn, Head Chef, and the kitchen team at Brampton View created an edible festive scene made from gingerbread, icing and sweets. We all enjoyed it.

Birthday Cupcakes

Everyone gets their favourite cakes on their birthday at Brampton View - today's was pink cupcakes. Delicious!

Decorating some plant pots

We have been painting some wooden plant pots at Brampton view. The sections all lie flat making it easy to add a personal design, and then they fit together to make a cube for a pretty plant. We discovered we have some very creative residents!

Hello little guinea pigs!

We recently welcomed a family of therapy guinea pigs to meet residents of Brampton View's memory lane community. Stroking animals is very relaxing and is known to reduce anxiety so we especially like to welcome therapy pets to visit residents living with dementia. These little furries loved the attention from our residents and nibbled on snacks of celery and carrot.

Fiona leads us in a singalong

We were delighted to welcome Fiona Harrison back to Brampton View to lead us in a singalong of old time favourites. Fiona is well known to Barchester Care Homes in the area and is a regular entertainer. David and all the residents were so pleased to see her again.

Retrospective Music Event

Our fantastic entertainers treated Brampton View residents to an afternoon of music from days gone by including wartime and post-war songs, and some Elvis - a little less conversation, a little more action, please!
