Activities at Brampton View Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Brampton View Care Home

Brampton View Toy Drive

Residents and staff at Brampton View have partnered with the Doddridge Centre in Northampton to ensure that each child they support has a toy under the tree for Christmas. Brampton View called upon staff, residents, relatives and friends of the home to donate children’s toys and clothing for Christmas. Within the time frame everyone gathered up over six containers worth of items which were donated to the centre in time for their Christmas event this weekend, where children will get to visit with Father Christmas whilst parents can select a gift to take home for them. Thank you so much to everyone who donated!

Santa’s Grotto

The elves have been hard at work here at Brampton View creating Santa his very own grotto for residents and families to enjoy over the Christmas period. We can’t wait to share this with you all and for Santa to pay us a visit!

Animal therapy

We absolutely love our visits from Lucia and her tiny farm here! She brings a selection of animals for us to choose our favourites for cuddles and we learn more about the care of them each time. They bring such joy to us all and both staff and residents have the best time during the visit.

Christmas Jumper Day

We didn’t need an excuse to get out our Christmas outfits but Christmas jumper day provided us with one this week. Both staff and residents donned their best outfits to help spread Christmas cheer around the home and it is feeling very festive here now. John & Elaine took the titles of ‘Best Dressed’ for the day. We can’t wait for out next themed day to see what other outfits we can come up with!

It's not Christmas until we have decorated a Christmas Cake

This year we have spent time carefully creating and making designs to enter into Barchester's Christmas Cake competition.

The morning brought back memories of making cakes at home with families and Christmas traditions. We are looking forward to tasting the finished.

Christmas Panto

Starting our festive celebrations off in style we had a visit from Tickled Pink and their Christmas Show. We spent the afternoon singing along to traditional carols and even got involved with the show dancing and playing instruments. We are now officially ready for December celebrations.
