Activities at Brampton View Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Restore Northampton Donations
This week we had the pleasure of meeting Deborah from Restore Northampton who came to collect all of the items our wonderful relatives and community have donated for them. We had the chance to show Deborah around our home and learn more about what Restore Northampton do for the local area. We are happy to be able to help support local families in need and look forward to partnering with them for more projects this year.
The collection box by the front door is now empty so if you can please donate any toiletries, tinned goods and cupboard items. A small donation goes further than you think!
Happy Birthday 'Doreen'
We had a wonderful afternoon accompanied by Carole and Peter from Zing who sang all of our favourite songs and helped us wish Doreen a very Happy Birthday. There was singing, dancing, laughter and most importantly cake. Doreen said she had a wonderful day and we were so glad to be a part of it.
Celebrating London Fashion Week
To mark the start of London Fashion Week our ladies gathered to discuss their favourite fashion trends over the years and tell us about their most loved outfits throughout their lives. We discussed wedding dresses, accessories and the length of hemlines!
We also had a chance to design our own outfits that we would like to see coming down the runway this season! Who knew we had so many budding designers amongst us. Let us know what you think of our designs and if you could see yourself wearing them?
Happy Birthday 'Elina'
We would like to wish our Deputy Manager Elina a very Happy Early Birthday! She will be away for the actual date but we couldn’t let her get away without a cake and card from everyone here!

Love is in the air
We had a fantastic Valentine’s Day here at Brampton View! We spent our morning with the children from Kingsthorpe Grove Primary making a heart display and sharing who our valentine is for the day and why we have chosen that person. Lots of the children chose their parents and their reasons were because they care for them.
Our kitchen team produced a fabulous themed lunch for the day and decorated cakes for our afternoon tea. During which we shared stories of how we met our spouses, what our best first date was and our advice for the next generation.
The day came to a close with the activities team visiting each resident to deliver a valentine gift bag containing heart shaped chocolates and sweets and to wish all a happy Valentine’s Day.
The same valentines gifts were also delivered to our staff who deserve all the love in the world for helping to make our day special and they were on display in reception for all families and visitors in the home to take one with them.
We hope everyone felt the love this Valentine’s Day.
Happy Birthday 'Geoffrey'
Today we wished Geoffrey a very Happy Birthday! Geoffrey was treated to a homemade cake from our kitchen team and all the staff visited him throughout the day to sing to him and wish him a very happy birthday.

We will be welcoming Martin Turnbull and his church to our home for our monthly worship and praise evening in the main lounge. We hope you can join us in.

English Wine Week promotes exceptional wines made by over 700 vineyards in the U.K. We will be sampling a few and hope you can join us! There will be some tasty snack too!
David McFegan Singer and Entertainer Event
David McFegan who will be joining us in the home plays a wide repertoire of songs and oozes personality, join us for a delightful afternoon in the main lounge
Kingsthorpe Grove Nursery & School Visit
We welcome the children from our local school every Wednesday to bring intergenerational activities to our residents, including singing, hand movements, crafts and reading

Zoo Lab Animal Therapy

Our weekly Friday mobile library will be visiting all communities. Get new reads, swap and find new genres we are always looking to provide a variety of new exciting reads.
