Activities at Bluebell Park Care Home
Here at Bluebell Park our aim is to enrich the lives of our residents, through group, and individual activities.
We have a wide range of activities designed to mentally, and physically stimulate the people we care for, including regular trips out in the mini bus, and taking part in the community led events that happen in the village we live in. We hold monthly resident meetings so our planning reflects their wishes, and requests, for example we now hold a regular bingo club (which residents families love to attend) and a bowling afternoon which the gentlemen here particularly enjoy. Entertainers and musicians regularly come into the home and families and friends are always welcome to attend too.
Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, and we strive to have a full range on offer. Our team here at Bluebell are dedicated to ensuring our residents enjoy, and get as much out of our entertainment as possible. It is without a doubt our mission is to make sure that life at Bluebell is active, fun, and most of all happy.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bluebell Park Care Home
Baking morning
Some of the residents spent the afternoon baking Chocolate Shortbread followed by a refreshing cup of tea and tasting the delicious treats - they were yummy! Residents also shared stories of their childhood baking and favourite items they baked with their families.
Outing!
Our residents enjoyed a mini bus outing to Elvaston Castle, followed by a picnic and Ice Cream.
Cheese and Wine
We had a lovely Cheese and Wine afternoon, followed by live virtual concert via Oomph Demand.
100th Birthday!
Happy 100th Birthday! We had a live concert from Richard Comfort, followed by a Tea Party. It was a lovely day.
Musical mystery tour
Our homes had a brilliant time with curator Sarah Deters as she took us on a virtual ‘Music Through the Ages’ tour of St Cecilia’s Hall: Concert Room and Music Museum.
Our residents were thrilled to discover weird and wonderful musical instruments, hear their unusual sounds, and find out how instruments have changed over the last 500 years.
The virtual live event explored the world-renown collection of musical instruments on display at St Cecilia’s Hall, Scotland’s oldest concert hall.
Spa Day
Residents at Bluebell Court care home enjoyed an afternoon of pampering as they were given a hand and nail therapy session. The team at the home were on hand to provide the hour long pamper session, with residents enjoying treats such as cakes and refreshments whilst being given manicures and hand treatments. There was even a cheeky glass of sherry or two!
