Activities at Beeston View Memory Lane Community

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Luisa Painemilla

Activities Coordinator

Hi there, I'm Luisa, Activities Co-ordinator at Iddenshall Hall.

I have worked with the elderly over 8 years and also for fifteen years in the social field as an Activities Coordinator for different social groups in three countries. I have a Degree in Social Integration, a Certificate in Theatrical Psychology and a Music Therapy certificate. In the past I have worked for local authorities and in a cerebral palsy home.

My work is very rewarding and it is a pleasure planning events and activities each month. I enjoy interacting with Residents and learning about their interests, preferences and experiences.

Look out for our activities and events - you are welcome to join us!

Cupcake Day , Cupcake Day

Cupcake Day

Residents of Beeston View celebrated National Cupcake Day by baking their own cupcakes. The talented chefs spent the morning in the dinning room, icing, chopping up cherries, apricots and marshmallows to put on top of their delicious treats. Residents had the chance to be creative and to decorate the cupcakes by themselves. The end results were wonderful, everybody was able to sample the cupcakes during their afternoon tea.

Fundraising Car Wash

We held a fundraising car wash this month to raise money for our residents' fund. Staff and volunteers all spent the day washing cars for visitors, staff and guests. The weather was perfect for it and we raised a total of £210. Thanks to all the volunteers who joined us on the day!

International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day

We have been saying thank you to our nurses as a way of showing our appreciation for all the hard work they do. We are very grateful for their commitment and dedication.

Easter Pamper Day

Easter Pamper Day

We had an Easter Pamper Day this week to prepare residents for trips out and visits home. We gave manicures, massages and foot spas to relax and spoil everyone.

Easter Celebrations

The Easter Bunny visited residents at Iddenshall Hall and Beeston View, presenting each of them with an Easter egg just in time for them to be enjoyed over the bank holiday. It was a welcome visit for all concerned and the residents and staff enjoyed cuddles with the Easter Bunny, who very kindly posed for photographs.
