Activities at Wimbledon Beaumont Care Community

Our team of activities staff and volunteers are constantly striving to improve the lives of our residents. This includes the quality of our regular entertainers, the new PAT dog and cat visits, the new singing entertainment in residents bedrooms and the personalised visits by volunteers. We also encourage relatives and friends to join in with activities and trips out whenever they can.

As the festive season begins, the team at Wimbledon Beaumont would like to encourage you to join them to take part in our varied activities and regular trips out.

Life at Wimbledon Beaumont Care Community

Summer BBQ

The sun was out, music playing and drinks were flowing at our annual summer BBQ. Every year our chefs put on a mouth watering display of burgers, hot dogs and chicken wings for everyone to enjoy.

Letters from the Community

Wimbledon Beaumont received beautifully decorated letters from children in the local community. The kind gestures were a wonderful surprise and a great boost for the residents during such difficult times.

Writing Club

We have recently launched a weekly writing club session for our residents. This will give our fabulous residents a chance to be as creative as they can within a positive and uplifting environment.

Staff wins special hamper from Barchester

Barchester Healthcare wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all our fantastic staff for their incredible hard work in these challenging times. So they started raffling gifts through a weekly prize draw. It was then announced that one of our lucky carers had won a beautiful basket of Fortnum and Mason! It was very exciting and well received.

A Royal Celebration

On Saturday June 13th, the Queen will celebrate her second, and official, birthday. But there was an extra incentive to join in the festivities at Wimbledon Beaumont, as residents were asked to design a birthday card in honour of Her Majesty’s birthday.

The winning card design was then specially made into a beautiful card and sent by Royal Mail to be opened by the Queen on her special day.

Residents were also treated to a special birthday tea party, with a royal theme, prepared by the hospitality team. The Queen’s birthday was marked with a small celebration at Windsor Castle, where the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh are staying in isolation. Residents tuned in to watch a Royal Salute from the military, lead by The Welsh Guard and massed Bands of the Household Division, which replaced the Trooping the Colour after it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
