Activities at Wimbledon Beaumont Care Community

Our team of activities staff and volunteers are constantly striving to improve the lives of our residents. This includes the quality of our regular entertainers, the new PAT dog and cat visits, the new singing entertainment in residents bedrooms and the personalised visits by volunteers. We also encourage relatives and friends to join in with activities and trips out whenever they can.

As the festive season begins, the team at Wimbledon Beaumont would like to encourage you to join them to take part in our varied activities and regular trips out.

Life at Wimbledon Beaumont Care Community

Easter Celebrations

Easter is special time for us all and our residents really took advantage of this time. They were busy decorating eggs, making Easter-themed cakes and, of course, enjoying Wimbledon Beaumont’s special party – plenty of chocolate for everyone!

,

St Patrick's Day

To celebrate this occasion, our residents enjoyed traditional Irish coffee, Guinness and Jameson Whiskey. Later that day, they took part an Irish-themed quiz.

Mother's Day

Our beautiful residents enjoyed a tea party for Mother's Day. We decorated the home with pink, gold and white balloons, which got everyone's attention.

Family Reunions

For residents at Wimbledon Beaumont, the long awaited reunion with one family member has become a reality, as one single named visitor is now allowed to visit each resident in their bedroom.

This is the first cautious step towards having a buzz of visitors in the home again. It was wonderful to see how happy it made the residents and their relatives. We have a great booking system in place to ensure the visits are well organised, and visitors are doing a great job of following the safety measures to keep everyone as safe as possible.

For those that are not able to come inside the home, we are pleased to be able to continue to offer visits in our visiting suites or outdoors when the weather allows.

Muddy Trowel

Residents love gardening so they recently tested out the Hug collection of plants, supplied by Muddy Trowel, which was a great success.

Valentine's Day

We celebrated love with homemade biscuits, freshly chopped fruits and sweet treats, accompanied by champagne. Our residents had a fantastic time and are looking forward to plenty more parties to come.
