Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Musical Magic
Residents enjoyed themselves during an afternoon of music and quizzes when we were visited by Music for Health.
Christmas Cake Making
Residents have been busy making Christmas cakes all ready for the Christmas Cake Competition.
Run for Home
The White Lodge team recently did a fundraising event – Run for Home – dressed in 1950s-themed outfits. The team was dropped off 50 miles away from White Lodge, with the task of getting back without the aid of technology or money.
All money raised will go towards a Tovertafel Magic Table – an interactive light table that will greatly help those living with dementia here at White Lodge.
Garden Fun
Residents have been enjoying the the beautiful grounds of our home.
Memory Lane Dancing
Residents on our Memory Lane community enjoyed a dance and singalong with a local entertainer.
Last of the Summer Sunshine
Residents and families enjoyed the last of the summer sunshine with a picnic on our beautiful grounds.
Upcoming events
Farm Day
Good Day Farm will be visiting the home with their farmyard animals on Monday 20th May. We will have sheep, goats, pigs and even alpacas! Everyone is welcome to join us
White Lodge Garden Party
Join us for our Garden Party on Sunday 26th May where we will have live performance by the Swindon Brass Band. Spaces are limited so please contact us to book tickets.
Fabulous 50's Fete
Shake, Rattle & Roll to Hethersett Hall for a 1950s celebration at our annual summer fete on Friday 21st June 2-4pm. Classic Cars, Buffet, Concert and Dress Up all happening!
Pudding Club
Join us for our brand new event 'Pudding Club' hosted by Jenny. Indulge in delicious delights together every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
