Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Life at White Lodge Care Home
Employee of the Month and 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating
Congratulations to White Lodge's Second Chef, Antonio Pereira who is the employee of the month. Antonio works with the team to create the variety and quality of food we offer our residents, but he also plays a very important role in maintaining the standards of cleanliness and infection control in our kitchen. He recently supported an inspection by Environmental Health and we are delighted to announce that White Lodge was awarded a 5 Star Rating.
Visit to Barchester Tewkesbury Fields
White Lodge residents had a wonderful afternoon yesterday at the newly refurbished Tewkesbury Fields Care Home. It was great to see residents from four Barchester homes come together with conversation flowing over a delicious afternoon tea.
The team at Tewkesbury Fields gave us such a warm welcome, thank you for your hospitality.
Musical Variety
White Lodge residents love music, between our own resident organist and painist we are so fortunate to have music around us. We also have our regular visiting performers, this week our Memory Lane Community enjoyed a great performance, with such variety we went from Country and Western to Elvis!
Happy May Day!
Happy May Day! White lodge celebrated in style with our very own May Pole, we all had so much fun. There was a lot laughter and we discovered a lack of coordination! Family members joined the team to dance around the May Pole with residents really enjoying the fun.
Thank you to everyone who made this such a great afternoon. Brent and Lou, our maintenance team turned the vision into a reality - we will be definitely having the May Pole at other events!
Ceramic Painting
White Lodge residents have been enjoying relaxing creative sessions painting ceramics. Activites Coordinator, Margaret has a variety of items that residents can paint and it is proving to be very popular. All activities around a table are such a great opportunity for a chat and with some wonderful creations being worked on we very much look forward to seeing the finished items.
Do the Conga!
It has been riotous week at White Lodge! Residents have loved dancing to a real range of music, it really was a party atmosphere even with the conga!
We know how wonderful all our team are, but moments like these with them dancing with our residents are so special. Thank you to all the White Lodge team for giving our residents their best life.
