Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Life at White Lodge Care Home
Afternoon at the Cinema
White Lodge residents had a lovely afternoon at Empire Cinema in Greenbridge, Swindon watching Westside Story. Margaret took the group along to the Wednesday OAP session which includes a hot drink and biscuit! This will definitely be part of our programme of events with a new film every week, what a great idea.
In Your Easter Bonnet......
Over the past week White Lodge have been running craft sessions for residents to make their own Easter bonnet. These groups were not only productive with some fabulous hats but also are lovely to get a group together for a chat with some tea.
We are sure you will all agree "in your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it, you'll be the grandest lady in the Easter Parade"
Easter Celebrations
White Lodge residents enjoyed a wonderful relaxing afternoon with family and friends. The star of the day was Alfie who kindly delivered baskets of Easter eggs to residents, thank you for letting us share these delightful photos. Tossing the horseshoe was great fun! We are really enjoying the warmer weather and long weekend.
Easter Egg Donations
White Lodge residents had the most wonderful start to the Easter weekend with Easter eggs donated for every resident. We would like to thank the communities of Lyneham and Bradenstoke for their generous donations through St Michael's and St Mary's churches. We know how much the residents will enjoy these. White Lodge wish everyone a Happy Easter.
Basket Weaving
A big thank you to the ladies of White Lodge who have been working hard basket weaving for this Friday's White Lodge Big Easter Egg Hunt. We look forward to welcoming families and friends for this special event in our stunning grounds.
Newly Refurbished Rooms with a Warm Welcome
This weekend we held our meet the manager event and we were delighted to welcome so many families. We are here to help those making a decision about care for a loved one and answer any questions. Ramona, General Manager and Ioana, Deputy Manager were also delighted to show our newly refurbished rooms with stunning views across our grounds and lake. Visitors are always welcomed with tea and cake and residents loved the atmosphere of the day with lots of music and dancing.
