Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Life at White Lodge Care Home
Pearls of Wisdom
White Lodge residents spent some time this weekend imparting their pearls of wisdom with advice for the younger generation. This is really worth while reading and giving thought to - thank you to all the residents for taking part.
Chair Zumba Class!
White Lodge residents attended a chair zumba class and had a great time. Our residents really like to stay active and as we all know exercise isn't just good for the body but also the mind and variety is great too.
Residents Attend Memory Cafe at Wyvern Theatre
White Lodge residents thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Wyvern Theatre Memory Cafe in Swindon. Every month there is a different theme, this time it was Rock and Roll Bingo. Residents always enjoy going out and meeting other groups, chatting over a cuppa and cake.
Bumper Birthday Weekend
White Lodge had a bumper birthday weekend, with Cynthia, Pam and Pat all celebrating. The hospitality team made three delicious and hand decorated birthday cakes with the activities team making each lady feel special with deocrations and of course singing "Happy Birthday".
Special Saturday Concert
This weekend White Lodge residents enjoyed a wonderful concert from Mini Concerts, thank you for entertaining our residents again. Live music always comes top of list and we love it when the residents want to dance and we love dancing with them.
Amazing Crop
White Lodge residents love not only spending time in the gardens but also take a very active role in looking after them. Everyone worked really hard this week to tidy up the courtyard, it was lovely to see so many residents outside helping. We all admired the pears and can't wait to try them, what a great crop!
Upcoming events
Farm Day
Good Day Farm will be visiting the home with their farmyard animals on Monday 20th May. We will have sheep, goats, pigs and even alpacas! Everyone is welcome to join us
White Lodge Garden Party
Join us for our Garden Party on Sunday 26th May where we will have live performance by the Swindon Brass Band. Spaces are limited so please contact us to book tickets.
Fabulous 50's Fete
Shake, Rattle & Roll to Hethersett Hall for a 1950s celebration at our annual summer fete on Friday 26th July 2-4pm. Classic Cars, Buffet, Concert and Dress Up all happening!
Pudding Club
Join us for our brand new event 'Pudding Club' hosted by Jenny. Indulge in delicious delights together every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
