Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Switching on the Christmas Lights
Residents, staff, family and friends gathered for the switching on of the White Lodge outdoor Christmas lights. It looks beautiful now once the light fades outside you can see all the different colours around the roundabout. We welcomed Jessica Fay Long to sing and announce the countdown and Glamorose Cakes so everyone could have a treat along with hot drinks to keep everyone warm!
White Lodge Donate Hampers to the Community
White Lodge have been delighted to support Purton and District Age Concern for the past few years by donating Christmas Hampers. The hampers will be distributed by volunteers from Age Concern over the next few days to older people in the local community. They look wonderful with activities assistant Lucy and residents putting them together over the past few days. Thank you to Peter Berry who is Chairman of Purton and District Age Concern for collecting the hampers and all that you do to support older people in the area.
