Activities at Westgate House Care Home
Our role in the home is fundamental to ensuring that our residents enjoy a fulfilling quality of life. We strive to provide a stimulating, creative & varied range of activities & events in the home, which everyone can enjoy whether they prefer social group engagement or one to one interaction. Residents choice is what we aim to provide to the best of our abilities. We enjoy being creative, sharing projects and discussing with our residents the kind of activities they would like to enjoy. Both indoor and outdoor activities are offered to cater for all tastes as well as regular outings to local places of interest.

Kelly and Sandra have worked for Westgate House for over 12 years, so have many years’ experience. They love having fun with the residents and providing a variety of activities.

10 Year Service Award
Carer, Yemi Ojo, was presented with her 10 Year Service Award by General Manager, Brinah Nyamugure. Congratulations, Yemi!
Volunteer Recognition Day at Westgate House
Our home manager, Brinah Nyamugure, hosted a thank you cheese & wine afternoon on Volunteer Recognition Day, with a few of the many people involved in supporting Westgate House through bringing religious services to our residents, helping out with fund raising events, donations of raffle prizes or items of use to those in need; assisting during activities and events, and for visiting and including our residents who need and wish to feel part of the wider community.
Cake Baking for the Queen's 90th
Graham, our Chef, had some help preparing a cake from Dorothy for everyone to enjoy on the Queen's birthday. Mmmm... Looks tasty!
Employee of the Month - February
Catherine Zereth was congratulated and presented with her voucher from Brinah Nyamugure our General Manager and fellow staff for being Westgate's February Employee of the Month.
