Catherine Ogbogu-Sang

General Manager

Hi, my name is Catherine, and I am the General Manager here at Westgate House. Welcome to our website!

I am a qualified nurse with a wealth of experience in dementia, mental health, nursing care and management.

I am responsible for both clinical and non-clinical operations of the this beautiful Home. I am supported by a highly skilled, dedicated and priceless team who have a natural flare for their jobs.

Westgate House nursing home is a unique home that provides person-centred care. Here at Westgate, we encourage all residents to live their life to the fullest and celebrate their individuality while enjoying new experiences and making new memories. 

Onyinyechi Amadi

Deputy Manager

My name is Onyi, I am the Deputy Manager at Westgate House.  I trained as a Registered Nurse at South Bank University.  I have worked with Barchester as a Unit Manager, then I was promoted to Deputy Manager in January 2020.  I am supporting the General Manager to run the Home to ensure excellent care is given to all our Residents and promote a happy home.

I enjoy meeting residents and their families and developing new and old relationships. I find working in a care home environment very rewarding. I work closely with the General Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home with the team.

Ingrid & Sharon

Activities Coordinators

At Westgate House, we have a very dedicated activities team that is led by Ingrid, alongside depicted team member Sharon,

Their role is fundamental to ensuring that residents can live their lives to the fullest at Westgate House. They endeavour to provide a stimulating, creative & varied range of activities & events in the home, which everyone can enjoy, whether they prefer social group engagement or one-to-one interaction.

They enjoy being creative, sharing projects and discussing with residents the kind of activities they'd like to participate in. Both indoor and outdoor activities are offered to cater for all tastes, as well as outings to local places of interest.

Our activities team is committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents, and they like to include and be part of our local community. They try their best to arrange activities that reflect residents' interests and capabilities as best as possible, and they also encourage loved ones to join in as often as they can.

Valerie Reid

Admin Assistant

Valerie is a key member of Westgate House. She started off as a relative whose family member was being cared for here. She loved the culture of the home so much that she decided to become a volunteer at the home before transitioning to being part of one of the dedicated admin team. Valerie adds that unique quality to the Westgate team by always keeping the residents in the centre of her drive.

Soji Oluwaseun

Admin Assistant & Home Trainer

Soji is a prime example of the whole home approach at Westgate House. He started his career in 2015 and joined the admin due to his degree in accounting. Soji has a great attention to detail and is very support with staff. Soji also makes sure all staff are compliant with training. He is another priceless member of the Westgate team.

Leonard King

Head Chef

Leonard brings a lot of experience and passion to the Westgate family with his cooking techniques. He genuinely cares for every resident at Westgate House, and you can see that evidence through the food presentation and taste. 

He makes sure he actions every point made in the nutritional meetings and residents/family feedback. Lenny has a passion and skill for preparing food cuisine from across the world: West Indian, African, Indian, British and much more. 

He makes sure freshly baked cakes are made daily and is one of our key members who pushes holistic care at the home.

Roger Del Campo

Maintenance Manager

I am responsible for both the practical aspect of the homes upkeep, as well as all the documentation record keeping to fully comply with all aspects of the home maintenance. I am an active part of the home and enjoy developing relationships with contractors to the home as well as the residents for whom I am dedicated to ensuring the home is maintained to our high standards. I have worked at the home in this role for the past 8 years. I am a down to earth and cheerful chappy and I enjoy looking after our pretty gardens.

Head Housekeeper

My role is to ensure Westgate House is presented to the exceptional company standards in all areas of the home. My attention to detail and experience in housekeeping is shared within the team I lead and we enjoy adding the finishing touches to make the house a comfortable and inviting home. I enjoy the interaction I have with residents within fulfilling my role and thoroughly embrace the opportunity it allows me to build relationships with them.
