Activities at The Warren Care Home
Here at The Warren, our activities team are always very busy thinking of new ways to keep residents active, both physically and mentally. We have regular trips out in the minibus, both locally and further a field, including the London Eye and the Thames River Trip), at least once a week during the summer months. We also enjoy visits from PAT dogs and have professional exercise sessions and live entertainment, which are always popular.

My name is Kirstie and I am lucky enough to be the Activities Coordinator here at The Warren.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities and leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of The Warren team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the importance of residents' input into our weekly planner is important giving all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous interests and hobbies.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at The Warren Care Home
Happisburgh Owls
On the 25th October, we had our second visit of the year from Happisburgh Owls. This proved very popular once again with residents. One lady in particular was very brave, as she was frightened of birds, but agreed to let us take the little tawny owl in her room for her to see from a distance. By the time we left she had surprised even herself by stroking it - another achievement made!
Live Entertainment
Friday 28th October saw Carol return to The Warren for an evening of singing. As you can see, Jim is helping her out! These evenings are always very well supported and we look forward to seeing Carol again in December for the start of our Christmas entertainment.
Employee of the Month - October
For the month of October, Julie Gray was nominated for Employee of the Month. Julie has several roles within The Warren, including care and maintenance, as well as helping out in the kitchen. She has also been known to dance to the 'Clap, Clap' song when we have entertainment.
Barchy & Pudsey's Trip Up North
Barchy & Pudsey have recently arrived back from a trip up to the North Yorkshire Moors. Click here to read all about it and view the pictures.
The Good Old Days
On the evening of the 11th August, Tickled Pink came to put on a performance of 'The Good Old Days' for us. It was a lot of fun!
Summer Fete
We held our annual Summer Fete on 13th August, where we had a giant raffle, tombola, BBQ and even a small animal area that included a Shetland Pony. Entertainment for the afternoon was supplied by Bobby G. This was a very enjoyable day and we are all looking forward to next year.
