Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Thistle Hill Care Home
A Royal Birthday
Thistle Hill held a royal morning tea party for the Queen’s Birthday - we had music and lots of tasty treats.
59 Years of Marriage
Thistle Hill made it a special day for Mr and Mrs Kay who have been happily married for 59 years. The home wanted to make it special and set up a first date style experience. The couple had their favourite meal of roast chicken and a glass of wine followed by chocolate pudding! Happy Anniversary from all at Thistle Hill!
Mother's Day
Thistle hill held a personalised Mother's Day lunch and had a Mother's Day gift waiting for them at the table. All the ladies got a gift and was made to feel special on their special day!
Birthday Celebrations
King James School Visits Thistle Hill
Thistle Hill would like to thank all the teachers and pupils of King James School in Knaresborough for delivering the residents Christmas gifts over the festive period.
It was a surprise and the residents loved receiving the gifts and knowing where they had come from made it more special!
