Activities at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Paula Lourenco
Hello, my name is Paula and I’m the Activities coordinator at Tewkesbury Fields care home. I’ve joined Barchester healthcare in 2020.
As part of the lifestyle enrichment team, I will be organising daily activities, ensuring that residents have varied activities to choose from each day. I love enriching our residents’ lives, creating memories and be able to provide meaningful activities to each one of the residents living at Tewkesbury fields.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Tewkesbury Fields Care Home

Tewkesbury is beautiful...
Tewkesbury has got so much to offer!
Here are some captured moments from the recent minibus trips out. Back of Avon walks are a favourite of our residents!
Nature is just beautiful!

We went on a boat trip!
Our special day out on The Willow Trust Boat!
Some of Barchester colleagues teamed up, and it was lovely to have the teams and residents from two of our sister homes, Ashchurch View Care Home - Barchester Healthcare and Badgeworth Court Care Centre - Barchester Healthcare, to spend the day together! A great opportunity to meet each other!
Everyone enjoyed a picnic, fresh air and just purely relax. Just like going on a cruise or holiday!
As always, a big thank you to the Captain and volunteers who make us feel very welcome on board. You're all fantastic!

Meeting Dr Pete Calveley - CEO of Barchester
It was a very important day for Tewkesbury Fields Care Home with a visit from Dr Pete Calveley CEO of Barchester Healthcare, Managing Director Angela Bradford, and our Regional Director Xin Zhao.
Our General Manager Roxana Moldovan, gave the grand tour of the home; everyone was greeted by our residents in the main lounge.
One of our residents, presented Dr Pete with a book from our local Tewkesbury Abbey.

A letter from the King
What an amazing surprise for everyone!
A few months ago, as part of the Coronation celebrations, residents sent a congratulations card to King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
We're very honoured to share that, today, we've received a very special letter, and thank you card from Buckingham Palace.
This response back, has certainly put a huge smile on everyone's face today and a card that we will definitely cherish!

World Chocolate day
It was all about chocolate... on a chocolate themed day ... for World Chocolate Day!
At the start of the day, residents made the most beautiful and delicious chocolate cookies.
For the afternoon, there was fresh fruit such as strawberries and bananas, or a choice of marshmallows to dip into melted milk or dark chocolate, as per residents' choice.

Celebrating success
Time to celebrate success!
Mollie, our general assistant, has been nominated the employee of the month - June, for the positive approach with all tasks asked and the smiley presence around the home! Each month, we celebrate an employee success; nominations are made by work colleagues, residents and residents relatives.
Well done Mollie! Keep up the good work!
