Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Donna Jones
Donna joined the Tennyson Wharf Family in April 2023.
As an Activities Coordinator, Donna helps to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active to keep residents engage. The team take time to ensure they all know each residents' interests so that the team can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities.
Donna has a passion for helping others and is settling into her new role great!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Tennyson Wharf Care Home
Summer Fete
We hosted a summer fete this weekend at Tennyson Wharf, where we invited in lots of friends of the home and groups from the local community to enjoy a fun filled afternoon of games, crafts and a tasty BBQ!
Open Day
We opened our doors at Tennyson Wharf open to the public for a Greek themed Open Day! Staff, residents and friends of the home all dressed up and the home was decorated in a fantastic traditional Greek style.
Indian Themed Day!
We like to travel the world from our home here at Tennyson Wharf. We recently held an Indian themed day where the staff all dressed up in traditional Indian clothing, we had Indian music and live performances as well as Indian options for food! A great day was had by all and we got to learn more about the Indian culture.
PAT Dog
We would like to introduce you to our PAT dog, Lottie! Lottie has been visiting our home for a couple of months now, and the residents look forward to visits from Lottie every fortnight. Lottie loves to sit on residents knees and have a cuddle - as you can see, it is smiles all round!
Trip to Lincoln City Football Club
Our Gentleman's Club at Tennyson Wharf recently enjoyed a trip out to Lincoln City Football Club and had a full tour! We have a Gentleman's Club at the home every Wednesday morning - if you or anybody you know is interested in joining us then please do get in touch.
Warmest Welcome!
We are delighted at Tennyson Wharf to have won the Barchester competition for 'Warmest Welcome'!! Here are some photos of our lovely entrance and we of course have some fantastic staff to welcome visitors to the home.
