Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Zoe Grindley

Activities Coordinator

Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.

I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.

Zoe has a passion for making strong connections with people and creating lasting memorable experiences.

We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs

I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

Now they are both in their 90's. Eva one of the ladies who shared her story with Alex had a brother called Heinz who perished in a concentration camp. Heinz had painted secretly whilst in hiding and after the war Eva was able to find the paintings, retrieve them and has treasured them since. A walk in the past !

A walk in the past !

Southgate Beaumont were delighted to be involved in a charity walking tour - "Southgate from the 1700 to the present day" led by historians Dr Graham Sievers and Dr Ilona Jesnick. The tour was a walk through history and pride of place was the 18th Century Mural by Gerrard Lanscroon in the main staircase of Southgate Beaumont.

Funds raised by the walk went to the amazing Chicken Shed Theatre, a local charity that provides inspiring opportunities for all including outreach projects, education courses and membership programmes.
